Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about MLD Fusion.

MLD Fusion at Wellness Your Way concentrates on one specific area — for example ankles or lower legs — using gentle, rhythmic manual techniques to stimulate lymph flow, reduce localized swelling, and support tissue recovery with a clinical, targeted approach.

An MLD Fusion add-on typically lasts 15–30 minutes depending on the area and your needs. It's designed as a focused complement to a primary treatment or a stand-alone touch-up to target localized swelling and support rapid relief.

MLD Fusion is safe for most people, but not everyone. Contraindications include active infection, deep vein thrombosis, uncontrolled heart failure, or certain cancers. We screen clients and require medical clearance when necessary to ensure a safe, effective treatment plan.

Recommended sessions vary: some clients notice improvement after one treatment, while others benefit from a short series (two to six sessions) for persistent edema. Your therapist will assess progress and suggest frequency, including maintenance sessions as needed.

It can support post-surgical or injury recovery by reducing localized swelling and promoting circulation, but only with explicit clearance from your surgeon or physician. We follow medical guidance and adapt techniques to healing stages to ensure safety and optimal outcomes.

Immediately after MLD Fusion you may feel lighter, less tight, and experience increased urine output as fluids mobilize. Mild fatigue is normal. Drink water, avoid heavy exertion for a few hours, and note gradual improvement over the next 24–48 hours.
