How sessions are tailored
Each Sacred Bloom™ session is individualized to your pregnancy stage and current needs. The therapist uses pregnancy-specific techniques and focuses on areas commonly carrying increased demand — the back, hips, legs, feet, neck and shoulders — with gentle abdominal massage offered only when appropriate and agreed upon between client and practitioner.
The practitioner adapts pressure, pace and focus to your comfort and tolerance while maintaining clear communication. Supportive positioning is provided with a plush memory-foam body pillow and wedges to allow more intentional access to targeted areas as needed, and NaKisha’s recent advanced training is being integrated into this evolving care approach.
Positioning and comfort details
Supportive positioning is a core tool in Sacred Bloom™. A plush memory-foam body pillow and supportive wedge positioning are used to arrange your torso and limbs for both comfort and practitioner access, letting the therapist work the neck and shoulders more intentionally. When abdominal touch is appropriate, positioning is adjusted to keep you comfortable and maintain clear communication.
For local clients, visits are convenient from La Plata and neighboring towns like Port Tobacco, Newburg, Pomfret, Indian Head and White Plains. The Crain Highway corridor makes Sacred Bloom™ an easy stop for commuters heading toward Waldorf or Washington, D.C., and the schedule is suited to after-school and weekend self-care for busy families.
What to expect practically
Appointments are scheduled for 90 MINUTES and are priced at $130. The session begins with a brief conversation about current comfort, stage of pregnancy, and any questions you have; treatment is then modulated to your tolerance and needs. Clients are encouraged to mention interest in upcoming birth-support services during the visit.
Sacred Bloom™ is offered at Wellness Your Way’s LaPlata location near the downtown Historic District and La Plata Town Center. Many clients pair appointments with downtown dining or errands; the location’s commuter-friendly position on Crain Highway supports flexible timing for families balancing work, school and community activities.
